Civil Designer Job Description

Morris & Ritchie Associates, Inc. (MRA) is seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our Water/Wastewater group in Laurel, Maryland.

Job Summary

The Civil Designer will work collaboratively with our team to develop comprehensive designs and provide construction services for water/wastewater projects. This role requires a strong understanding of civil engineering principles, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design of pump stations and collection/distribution systems
  • Preparation of drawings and specifications
  • Performance of system analysis
  • Preparation of study-level reports for water and wastewater systems
  • Collaboration with project managers, internal teams, and regulatory agencies throughout the design and construction phases of projects
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively within a team to meet project schedules and deadlines
