Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

The CT Technologist is responsible for performing all diagnostic radiological procedures in a timely manner. This includes performing procedures according to physician's orders and working collaboratively with other members of the care team to ensure the safe and accurate delivery of patient care.
Responsibilities- Perform CT procedures in a timely manner and document required information.
- Coordinate and assist in the care of patients assigned in collaboration with other CT technologists, physicians, nurses, and allied health staff.
- Evaluate patient condition to adequately perform CT exams.
- Inform and explain procedures to be performed to patients and what is expected in terms of their cooperation.
- Provide comprehensive direct patient care and ensure a safe and comforting environment.
- Consult with other staff as necessary to meet the needs of the patient and family.
- Assure that necessary clinical equipment and supplies are available and are safely utilized.
- Possess knowledge of growth and development of patients across the life span.
- Perform Point of Care procedures in a timely manner according to established policy and procedure.
- Associate degree and graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Current Medical Radiologic Technologist certification with the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
- Current American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) Registered Radiologic Technologist RT (R) license.
- Current American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT)/Registered C T Technologist, CT(R) license.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
