Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: Remote Opportunity
Shift: Flexible Scheduling
Schedule: 36 Hours Per Week
Salary Range: $33 - $48 per hour
Job Overview:
As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality ultrasound services in a dynamic and expanding medical center. This position requires a commitment to patient care, technical proficiency, and adherence to established protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures according to established protocols, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET techniques, explaining procedures and providing support during exams.
- Prepare patients and equipment for ultrasound procedures, ensuring proper positioning and exposure settings.
- Follow safety, infection control, and radiation protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Maintain imaging equipment and work areas, reporting any operational issues and ensuring compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.
- Accurately document patient information, including requisitions, patient history, and procedural details, in electronic medical records (EMR).
- Adhere to imaging system workflows, including PACS, image exchange, and record management protocols.
- Provide first aid and emergency support as needed and participate in ongoing training to maintain current knowledge in ultrasound practices.
- Train and mentor new team members on protocols, procedures, and new initiatives.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification or registration in one of the following:
- American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in OB/GYN, Abdomen, Breast, or Musculoskeletal
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or Breast Sonography (BS)
- Registered Vascular Sonographer (RVS) from Cardio Credentialing International (CCI)
- RVT certification is preferred but not required.
