Alumni Engagement Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Coordinator to join our team at Skidmore College. The successful candidate will provide administrative support for planning, coordination, and execution of events, as well as maintain accurate records and assist with various tasks to enhance alumni engagement.
Key Responsibilities- Event Management: Assist the Associate Director in developing events to meet the strategic priorities of the Office of Alumni Engagement, utilizing data to identify key areas for growth in alumni engagement and philanthropic support.
- Advancement Ambassador: Build relationships with faculty and staff to highlight Advancement/Fundraising and College-wide initiatives through programming, supporting faculty during the event planning process, and communicating event activity to necessary constituents.
- Supports all Office of Advancement events as-needed: Work with the team to volunteer for any and all events within reasonable availability.
- Education: Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience: 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience working in event management, communications, and/or a combination.
- Data-driven with an ability to identify trends and utilize data to inform decision-making.
- Astute budget discretion and management.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Technologically savvy and an ability/interest in learning new software products.
- Strong organizational and analytic skills.
- Proficiency in office management systems, procedures, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Publisher, and Qualtrics is preferred.
Skidmore College is committed to being an inclusive campus community and offers a competitive salary range of $26.00 per hour. The successful candidate will work on-campus and must be able to lift a minimum of 10lbs in support of events. Some travel is required, and nights and weekends are a requirement of this position.
