Job Summary

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and promoting the BJ's Wholesale Club value proposition to our members. This includes executing acquisition strategies, renewing and upgrading memberships, and providing excellent service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to members, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
    • Escalate complex issues to senior team members or management as needed.
  • Membership Sales and Retention
    • Drive sales and retention of memberships by promoting the benefits and value of BJ's Wholesale Club to our members.
    • Upsell and cross-sell membership programs and services to increase revenue and member satisfaction.
  • Merchandise Returns and Exchanges
    • Process merchandise returns and exchanges in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring member satisfaction and minimizing losses.
  • General Customer Service
    • Provide general customer service to members, including answering questions and resolving issues related to merchandise, services, and other club offerings.

Requirements

  • Customer Service Experience
    • Previous experience in customer-facing roles, such as retail sales, customer service, or membership sales.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with members, colleagues, and management.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability
    • Ability to think critically and solve problems in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing situations and priorities.
  • Technical Skills
    • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and other technical tools.

Working Conditions

  • Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent interactions with members and colleagues.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds and standing for long periods.
