POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Department Head is tasked with a variety of responsibilities aimed at fulfilling customer needs and supporting business objectives. This position oversees the merchandising and upkeep of the sales and stockroom areas within their designated department(s) in accordance with company policies and standards. The Department Head collaborates with the store team to facilitate sales transactions and assist customers on the sales floor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Uphold merchandising standards across all assigned areas.
- Restock merchandise in designated department(s).
- Display new products following company guidelines.
- Ensure exceptional customer service is provided on the sales floor and at the point of sale.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Process transactions and maintain related documentation in line with company standards.
- Communicate promptly with store leadership regarding potential improvements.
- Address and resolve issues to maintain an organized and safe environment for customers and staff.
- Assist in training both new and existing store associates.
- Operate a cash register as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Previous experience in retail merchandising, customer service, and/or cashier roles in various retail settings is preferred.
- Basic math and reading abilities, clear handwriting, and effective verbal and written communication skills are essential.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
