POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Department Supervisor is tasked with a variety of responsibilities aimed at fulfilling customer needs and supporting business objectives. This role entails overseeing merchandising and maintaining the sales and stockroom areas of designated departments in alignment with company standards. The Department Supervisor collaborates with the store team to facilitate sales transactions and assist customers on the sales floor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Uphold merchandising standards across all assigned areas.
  • Restock and replenish inventory in designated departments.
  • Display new merchandise according to company protocols.
  • Ensure all customers receive exemplary service both on the sales floor and at the point of sale.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Process transactions and maintain accurate documentation as per company standards.
  • Communicate promptly with store leadership regarding opportunities for enhancement.
  • Address and resolve issues to maintain organization and safety within departments for both customers and staff.
  • Assist in training both new and existing store associates.
  • Operate a cash register as required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience in retail merchandising, customer service, and/or cashier roles in similar environments is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency in math and reading, along with clear handwriting and effective verbal and written communication skills.
