Job Overview

Core Responsibilities:
Deliver engineering and advisory services across a diverse range of projects and clientele. This includes conducting and/or leading field assessments, engineering evaluations, calculations, and recommendations, as well as the design and formulation of plans and specifications. Ensure compliance with designs through observation and inspection, and prepare, review, and write related reports for the services rendered. Review construction drawings to confirm adherence to plans and specifications. Develop proposals and cost estimates, monitor and assess project progress and budgets, and suggest modifications as necessary. Investigate and resolve design and construction challenges. Assign, assess, and interpret laboratory or field data for report inclusion. Utilize sound engineering principles and effectively communicate complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and standards for all assignments. Engage in pre-task planning and report any safety concerns to management.
  • Uphold quality standards across all projects.
  • Act as a proficient engineering professional responsible for managing and executing smaller projects of limited complexity.
  • Assist in defining the scope of work for standard projects.
  • Support the preparation of cost estimates, specifications, and other project-related documentation.
  • Analyze data and conduct engineering calculations and analyses for Professional Engineer review.
  • Oversee, coordinate, or conduct field investigations, laboratory testing, and data evaluation.
  • Formulate plans, schedules, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project tasks.
  • Collaborate closely with senior project managers and Professional Engineers to gain project management and engineering experience.
  • Provide design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications for consideration by the Professional Engineer of Record.
  • Draft work scopes, proposals, reports, and plans for investigations to be approved by senior professionals.
  • May supervise field personnel, including graduate engineers, engineering technicians, exploration teams, laboratory staff, and other support personnel.
  • Engage with clients and project teams to develop service scopes and communicate project advancements.
  • Operate under the guidance of a Professional Engineer.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) certification is required.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.
