Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engineering and advisory services across a diverse range of projects and clientele. This role may involve leading field assessments, conducting engineering evaluations, performing calculations, and providing recommendations. Responsibilities also include the design and formulation of plans and specifications, overseeing inspections, and preparing comprehensive reports related to the services rendered. Review architectural drawings and construction work to ensure adherence to established plans and specifications. Prepare project proposals and cost assessments, monitor project timelines and budgets, and suggest necessary modifications. Investigate and resolve design and construction challenges. Assign, assess, and interpret laboratory or field data for report inclusion. Utilize sound engineering principles while effectively communicating complex engineering topics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Core Duties:
  • Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and standards for all projects. Engage in pre-task planning and report any safety concerns to management.
  • Uphold quality standards across all assignments.
  • Competent engineering professional tasked with managing and executing minor projects of limited complexity.
  • Assist in defining the scope of work for standard projects.
  • Support the preparation of cost estimates, specifications, and other project-related documentation.
  • Analyze data and perform engineering calculations for Professional Engineer review.
  • Conduct, coordinate, or oversee field investigations, laboratory testing, and evaluation of respective data.
  • Develop plans, schedules, and coordinate detailed phases of assigned project work.
  • Collaborate closely with senior project managers and Professional Engineers to gain valuable project management and engineering experience.
  • Provide design recommendations, adaptations, and modifications for consideration by the Professional Engineer of Record.
  • Prepare work scopes, proposals, reports, and plans for investigations, seeking approval from senior professionals.
  • May oversee field personnel, including graduate engineers, engineering technicians, exploration teams, laboratory staff, and other support roles.
  • Engage with clients and project teams to define service scopes and communicate project progress.
  • Operate under the guidance of a Professional Engineer.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering is preferred.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Engineering Intern (EI) certification is required.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with an acceptable violation history.
