Job Summary:

The FP&A Senior Consultant is responsible for performing in-depth financial analyses related to Charter Senior Living's portfolio of hotels. This position requires a highly motivated professional with a strong work ethic and excellent team player skills.

This individual should be analytical, deciphering complex financial and operational data to effectively capture, review, and assess the data to support strategic decisions related to hotel performance and operations.

He/she should be able to identify problems and develop innovative solutions to further efforts toward continuous process improvements and maximize performance.

In addition, should be well-organized, detail-oriented, and be able to perform a variety of tasks under time pressure. A strong Excel and PowerBI user is highly preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Gather data, generate reports, interpret analysis, and deliver reports and dashboards using complex data that turns into actionable steps to improve processes and results.
  • Configuration, design, build out, and administration of a KPI dashboard.
  • Provide financial insights and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making by senior management and hospitality operations in the field.
  • Analyze all types of data related to hospitality operations, including expenses, profitability, insights, etc.
Plan and communicate financial strategies for property labor management and conduct routine and ad-hoc analysis of labor metrics.

  • Review and analyze brand initiatives/directives.
  • Work cross-functionally with hospitality leaders in the field and support staff on corporate teams to identify data needs, turn data into tangible action, and ultimately position Charter Senior Living operations as best in class.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of data while maintaining robust data management processes.
  • Assist with the forecasting and budgeting processes.
  • Provides ad-hoc support/reports as requested.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Competencies:

  • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or university) in finance, accounting, business, or other related field.
Relevant work or internship experience.

  • Demonstrated partnering, influencing, and communication skills up and down the organizational structure to convey key elements in a concise and positive manner.
  • Proven computer proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI.
  • Ability to thrive in an environment that is both strategic and creative, and requiring rapid learning, multitasking, and prioritizing under tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of proactively solving complex issues.
  • Self-motivated, extraordinary attention to detail, and an internal drive to produce high-quality work.
  • Ability to work proactively, independently, and as a strategic partner in a team environment.
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and to build trust across the organization.
