Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist II to join our Radiology Department at NorthShore University HealthSystem. As a CT Technologist II, you will be responsible for operating computerized tomography (CT) scanners to obtain high-quality images for use by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate CT scanners to visualize pathologies and obtain high-quality images for use by physicians.
- Position patients for procedures, administer injections of contrast media, and manipulate images to find the best possible image.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, ensuring a positive experience throughout the imaging process.
- Explain procedures to patients, addressing any questions or concerns to reduce anxiety and promote trust.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree preferred.
- Strong computer skills and ability to troubleshoot problems related to software.
- IEMA licensure and ARRT (R) certification required; ARRT (CT) certification preferred.
- Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of one year of experience in CT imaging; prior experience preferred.
