Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Spiritual Care Specialist to join our team at Novant Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life of our patients and their caregivers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide spiritual support and care to patients and their families, addressing their unique emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans that incorporate spiritual care.
  • Conduct spiritual assessments and develop plans to address the spiritual needs of patients.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and spiritual leaders to support patient care.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Divinity or a related field, with ordination or equivalent.
  • Completion of four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from a nationally accredited body.
  • Minimum two years of experience in spiritual care or a related field, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and populations.
  • Eligibility for certification by the Association for Clinical Pastoral Education (ACPE) or other equivalent national certifying body.
