Job Summary

As a Clinical Patient Assistant at Stamford Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in our ambulatory settings. Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse or healthcare provider, you will assist in providing clinical and clerical support to ensure a seamless patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care in outpatient physician practices, working closely with healthcare providers and licensed nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Assist with clinical and clerical duties, including preparing patients for examinations, verifying patient information, and supporting healthcare providers during exams.
  • Handle phone calls and messages, ensuring timely communication with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment, adhering to clinical standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with staff and healthcare providers to ensure excellent customer service and support the customer service plan.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge and skills in medical terminology and clinical procedures.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of Stamford Health's CPA training program.
  • EMT certification, CNA certification, or prior experience as a non-certified Medical Assistant or Medical Technician.
  • Basic computer skills and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork.
