Clinical Patient Assistant

As a Clinical Patient Assistant at Stamford Health, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in our ambulatory settings. Under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse or healthcare provider, you will assist in providing clinical and clerical support to ensure a seamless patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care in outpatient physician practices, working closely with healthcare providers and licensed nurses to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assist with clinical and clerical duties, including preparing patients for examinations, verifying patient information, and supporting healthcare providers during exams.
- Handle phone calls and messages, ensuring timely communication with patients and healthcare teams.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment, adhering to clinical standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with staff and healthcare providers to ensure excellent customer service and support the customer service plan.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain knowledge and skills in medical terminology and clinical procedures.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Successful completion of Stamford Health's CPA training program.
- EMT certification, CNA certification, or prior experience as a non-certified Medical Assistant or Medical Technician.
- Basic computer skills and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and teamwork.
