- Configure and Deploy Next-Gen Firewalls: Set up and implement next-generation firewalls to protect our clients' networks from cyber threats.
- Provide Technical Support: Offer remote and on-site technical support to clients and internal staff, ensuring they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their jobs effectively.
- Capacity Planning and Analysis: Coordinate capacity planning and analyze customer infrastructures to identify areas for improvement and optimize system performance.
- Documentation and Change Recommendations: Maintain comprehensive documentation of hardware configurations, software installations, and network setups, and provide insightful change recommendations to elevate the client experience and streamline operations.
- Education: Associate's degree in a related field, such as computer science or information technology.
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of industry experience in network security and support.
- Certifications: Industry-standard certifications, such as CCNA, NSE, or Microsoft, are preferred.
- Skills: Demonstrated understanding of networking, firewalls, server, and client/server technologies, as well as sound judgment and technical aptitude.
- Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to communicate technical information to a wide variety of individuals and groups.
- Customer Service: Superior customer service and communication skills.
- Fortinet Suite: Familiarity with the Fortinet suite of products.
- Office365: Admin knowledge of Office365, with an emphasis on email security.
- Datto Technologies: Familiarity with Datto technologies.
- Windows Servers: Deployment and troubleshooting experience with Windows servers.
- Scripting: Knowledge of scripting languages.
- Cloud Technologies: Working knowledge of cloud technologies.
- Linux Operating Systems: Familiarity with Linux operating systems.
- Backup Technologies: Knowledge of backup technologies.
- Virtualization Technologies: Working knowledge of virtualization technologies.
- SDWAN: Familiarity with SDWAN.
- Fortinet Firewalls: Working knowledge of Fortinet firewalls and firewall platforms.
This role requires a flexible schedule, including non-traditional working hours, and the ability to work from the Vigilant office or remotely from a home office. The position is eligible to US citizens physically residing in the US, and any offer of employment is contingent upon background, drug screen, and reference checks.
