Financial Reporting Associate

As a vital member of our finance team, you will engage in a variety of tasks essential for maintaining accurate accounting records. Key Responsibilities
- Compile and analyze reports that require technical expertise from various sources as requested by management or regulatory agencies.
- Assist in the formulation, assessment, and documentation of accounting processes.
- Perform bookkeeping and accounting tasks with precision.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to environmental management in all job functions.
- Immediately report any environmental concerns to your supervisor.
- Familiarize yourself with the company's emergency notification procedures and review them regularly at your work location.
- Support the month-end financial closing activities.
- Prepare comprehensive reports for both internal management and external stakeholders.
- Oversee Federal and State Tax reporting at the fiscal year-end.
- Maintain the general ledger, conduct account reconciliations, and prepare necessary documentation and workpapers.
- Adhere to all environmental regulations and procedures relevant to the Smithfield Hog Production Division.
A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business along with a minimum of two years of relevant accounting experience is required. Your experience should prominently feature general ledger management and both internal and external financial reporting. A solid understanding of the general ledger and its connection to financial statements is essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational and communication skills, is expected.
