Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer/Traffic Modeler with a minimum of five years of professional experience to enhance our transportation team. This role will focus on providing traffic engineering expertise to support our operations, with opportunities for additional responsibilities in expanding regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute Traffic Signal, Signing, and Striping Design, along with Engineer of Record duties on Signalization and Signing & Pavement Marking Plan Sets.
  • Conduct intersection and roadway capacity analyses utilizing HCS, Synchro, and SimTraffic software, and prepare comprehensive traffic impact studies.
  • Oversee the development of engineering documents, design reports, and variation/exception reports.
  • Provide support to local and regional offices within the organization.
  • Coordinate plans, calculations, and specifications among multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Implement internal quality control procedures to ensure high standards.
  • Assist in marketing services to current and prospective clients, contributing to the creation of technical proposals and presentations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Possession of a Florida Professional Engineering License or the ability to obtain one.
  • PTOE certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with FDOT plan preparation criteria and design standards.
  • Understanding of various transportation disciplines and their interrelation with traffic design.
  • Strong verbal communication and technical writing skills.
  • Capability to train and mentor junior staff members.
