Overview:
Priority Group Services is in search of a dedicated and skilled Communication Specialist to enhance our team.

The Communication Specialist will focus on assessing, diagnosing, and delivering therapeutic solutions for individuals facing challenges related to speech, language, communication, and swallowing.


Key Responsibilities:
1.

Assessment and Treatment:
a) Performing thorough evaluations to identify speech, language, and swallowing issues. b) Crafting personalized treatment strategies that align with the unique requirements and aspirations of each patient.
2.

Therapeutic Solutions:
a) Conducting therapy sessions aimed at enhancing speech, language, articulation, and fluency. b) Applying methods and exercises to tackle swallowing challenges.
3.

Monitoring Progress and Documentation:
a) Tracking patient advancements and adjusting treatment plans based on continuous evaluations. b) Keeping precise and comprehensive records of therapy sessions and patient developments.
4.

Patient Guidance and Education:
a) Informing patients and their families about therapy methods, exercises, and strategies for ongoing improvement. b) Offering support and direction to patients throughout their therapeutic journey.
5.

Team Collaboration and Communication:
a) Working alongside multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, occupational therapists, and educators, to ensure comprehensive patient care. b) Effectively communicating with healthcare providers and caregivers regarding patient progress and requirements.

Qualifications:
1. Valid New Jersey Licensure as a Communication Specialist is mandatory.
2.

Adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations, including those established by relevant health departments and compliance policies.

3. Clinical experience in diagnosing and managing speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
5. Proficiency in utilizing specialized tools and techniques in communication therapy.

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience in a clinical environment.
2. Familiarity with electronic health record systems.
3. Specialized certifications or training in specific areas of communication therapy.
