As a key member of the Butler Medical Transport LLC team, the Advanced Life Support Technician plays a vital role in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) framework. This position involves responding to both urgent and routine medical transport requests, assessing patient conditions, delivering essential life support, and ensuring safe transportation to healthcare facilities for further care. The Advanced Life Support Technician is crucial in providing immediate care during emergencies, significantly influencing patient outcomes. This role requires quick decision-making, empathy, and teamwork to ensure effective pre-hospital care is delivered promptly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding patient care within the EMT scope of practice
  • Ensure safe transport for patients and team members
  • Respond to both urgent and routine transport requests
  • Communicate effectively with patients, dispatch, team members, family, and healthcare facility staff
  • Utilize communication devices including portable radios, cell phones, and tablets
  • Complete patient contact documentation before the end of each shift
  • Maintain vehicles and equipment to ensure readiness for transport
  • Keep the station clean and organized
  • Stay current with certifications through timely completion of refresher courses and continuing medical education (CME)
  • Adhere to all state protocols, policies, and procedures
  • Represent Butler Medical Transport LLC at community events as assigned
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum age of 19 for insurance eligibility
  • Successful completion of NREMT certification
  • Current NREMT and State EMT certification (or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to operate company vehicles
  • Completion of a state-sponsored EVOC course or ability to obtain within 90 days
  • Current AHA BLS CPR certification or ability to obtain within 10 days of hire
  • Capability to provide quality patient care within the EMT scope
  • Knowledge of state protocols applicable to EMTs
  • Ability to pass a physical lift test
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Pass a pre-employment background check
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written

  • Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations
  • Previous experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS)

Compensation:

$ per hour, inclusive of differentials and bonuses.
