As a Senior Officer in Business Banking, you will focus on cultivating and managing banking relationships primarily within the healthcare and professional services sectors. Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and enhance business relationships by engaging with both potential and existing clients to present business loan, deposit, and treasury services.
2. Identify opportunities for consumer and mortgage services tailored for business clients and their associates.
3. Provide expert financial guidance to clients regarding credit structuring and treasury management solutions, ensuring a seamless onboarding experience from initial consultation to loan finalization.
4. Monitor the performance of your loan portfolio through regular communication with borrowers, addressing any issues that may arise.
5. Proactively build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, and referral sources to maximize business banking growth, particularly in deposits, treasury, and lending.
6. Establish a network of referrals and collaborate with industry contacts to identify market trends and opportunities for financial services.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of successful experience in commercial or small business lending.
- A minimum of 7 years in the banking industry, with a proven track record in business development.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Over 10 years of successful experience in commercial or small business lending.
- Completion of formal credit training or banking programs.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial statements and prepare loan proposals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex issues clearly.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness in overcoming challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork and collaboration.
- Proficient in managing multiple priorities and tasks effectively.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining professionalism at all times.
Working Environment:
This position is based in an office setting with standard working hours. The role may require travel up to 60% of the time.
