Position Overview:
The Category Management Associate will play a crucial role in overseeing specific category management functions as part of National DCP's Restaurant Solutions. The categories of responsibility encompass various assets, materials, and services essential for the construction or renovation of restaurant facilities.

This role is pivotal in driving the growth and profitability of Dunkin' by refining sourcing strategies, fostering beneficial supplier partnerships, and advocating for ongoing enhancements.

The Category Management Associate will deliver dedicated support in supplier, cost, risk, and performance management.

This includes ensuring the timely provision of high-quality products and services at the most sustainable cost for Dunkin' franchisees on behalf of National DCP.


Restaurant Solutions manages procurement and supply chain functions for indirect products and services, including kitchen equipment, smallwares, custom fabrication, distribution, consolidation programs, construction materials, furnishings, lighting, signage, and store-level services.

The Category Management Associate will report directly to the Category Manager within Restaurant Solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

RFx Management:
Prepare and execute RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes. Evaluate responses and collaborate with internal teams to achieve optimal award decisions. Compile executive summaries with findings.

Negotiation:
Secure the lowest possible landed cost based on product specifications, quality, service levels, and market conditions.

Contract Management:
Enhance business terms and conditions while developing contracts for the supply of products and services with both new and existing suppliers. Ensure timely renewals are completed.

New Program Development:

Identify, explore, initiate, and develop innovative, user-friendly program offerings to generate additional value and enhance the Member experience.


Collaboration:

Engage and collaborate with Dunkin'/Inspire Brands New Store/Remodeling teams and franchisees to ensure optimal cross-functional planning and execution of Category Management functions.


Supply Continuity:

Identify, analyze, develop, and maintain an efficient and effective supplier base to meet current and future demands for all purchased materials and services.


Supplier Development:
Foster supplier growth by communicating performance expectations, developing joint improvement initiatives, and soliciting real-time feedback.

Market Insights:

Monitor and analyze key spending trends, cost drivers, market dynamics, geographic factors, and the strategic significance of critical materials/services to effectively manage assigned categories and implement suitable sourcing strategies.

Perform additional duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position does not entail direct supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in category management and strategic sourcing, including supplier, cost, risk, and relationship management.

A Bachelor's degree is preferred in supply chain, business, or a construction-related field of study.


Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required; familiarity with SAP and/or Smartsheet is advantageous.

A collaborative, team-oriented approach with a proven ability to cultivate strong business relationships and manage effectively.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

Demonstrated organizational and project management skills, including the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Proactive and committed with a focus on quality and results.

A curiosity and aptitude for understanding complex requirements across various categories.


Experience with a purchasing cooperative, foodservice distributor, franchise system, or within the foodservice/restaurant industry is beneficial; experience in the construction industry or related fields is also valuable but not mandatory.


Other Requirements:

A limited amount of travel may be necessary.

Physical Demands:

Ability to sit for extended periods.

Ability to operate a computer keyboard and view a computer screen for prolonged durations.

Ability to lift, tug, or pull up to fifteen (15) pounds.
