Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply the Nutrition Care Process to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with nutrition-related needs.
  • Develop and implement nutrition interventions, including meal planning and education, to support patient health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care and achieve patient-focused medical goals.
  • Manage resources effectively to ensure cost-efficient delivery of nutrition services.
  • Participate in compliance and quality performance improvement efforts to ensure safe and effective nutrition care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or related area from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university.
  • Completion of a didactic program in dietetics and supervised practice program approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association.
  • Active registration as a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the American Dietetic Association.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a clinical long term care dietitian.
  • Board Certified Specialist in Gerontological Nutrition (CSG) preferred.
