About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team at MCPHS. As a key member of our facilities department, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting and repairs to building systems.
  • Assist with facilities work and room set-ups initiated by faculty, staff, and students.
  • Troubleshoot and repair building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct light carpentry projects and repairs to doors, hardware, and basic locksmith tasks.
  • Complete light electrical and plumbing repairs to appliances, fixtures, and switches.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency situations.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Basic knowledge of building systems (HVAC, Plumbing, and Electrical).
  • Basic carpentry skills and working knowledge of building materials.
  • Ability to work with hand tools and basic computer skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with peers and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to communicate and read English, follow verbal and written instruction.
  • The ability to occasionally work off-hours and weekends.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to climb ladders.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to crawl under desks.
  • Must be able to be constantly exposed to weather conditions.
  • Must spend considerable time on feet.
