Job Summary:
The Facilities Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, including buildings, grounds, and equipment. This role will involve developing and implementing maintenance plans, coordinating with vendors and tradespeople, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Request For Proposals (RFPs) for maintenance projects
- Coordinate with vendors and tradespeople to ensure timely and effective maintenance
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, JCAHO, and other regulatory requirements
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including snow removal and landscaping
- Manage and maintain the Building Security Access Cards System
- Coordinate emergency repairs and maintenance
- Assist with inventory management and storeroom maintenance
- Ensure walkways and driveways are clear and accessible
Requirements:
- 5 years of facilities maintenance experience
- Proven knowledge of building engineering, HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, and electrical systems
- Proven experience in vendor management and bid procurement
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Intermediate math skills
- Basic to intermediate skills with Microsoft Office applications
Physical Demands:
- Lift heavy boxes and move furniture
- Lift a minimum of 50 lbs. with assistive equipment
- Frequent moving, including walking, climbing stairs, and pushing
Working Conditions:
The Facilities Coordinator will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. The role will require flexibility and adaptability, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
