Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) invites you to be part of our team as a Principal Engineer in Manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive life cycle assessments and root cause analyses of manufacturing equipment, including boilers, cooling systems, and other high-pressure systems. Investigate, design, and develop innovative systems and operational protocols to enhance manufacturing efficiency. Execute thermal and heat transfer evaluations on various manufacturing systems and components. Support the testing of primary propulsion and energy generation systems. Generate technical documentation and present findings to Engineering Management. Draft proposals, statements of work, and coordinate project planning and contractor assignments. Oversee Operational Procedures to guarantee safe practices and technical precision. Establish and refine preventative maintenance protocols and corrective action plans for system repairs. Create and maintain specific pre- and post-test checklists for programs.

MANUMS

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical and/or electrical engineering; or a Master's Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in interpreting engineering schematics. Demonstrated expertise in operating propulsion and power generation machinery; experience with fluid and thermodynamic systems. Strong project management skills and proficiency in MS Office applications. Eligibility to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience in Test Facility operations and/or Power Generation/Chemical Facility environments. Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) modeling. Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Creo, SolidWorks, or equivalent. Salary Range: $97,500 - $146,300. This salary range serves as a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers various factors when determining base salary offers, including the role's scope and responsibilities, along with the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.

Employees may qualify for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are intended to reward individual contributions and allow employees to share in company success. Employees in Vice President or Director roles may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Furthermore, Northrop Grumman offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, life and disability coverage, a savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off (PTO) for personal and vacation needs.
