We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Acute Medical and Progressive Care unit (D6/5) at University Hospital in Madison, WI.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with a highly competent and adaptable team, providing comprehensive and specialized nursing care to acutely ill adult patients with multiple comorbidities and hemodynamic instability.
The ideal candidate will have experience in IMC and ICU settings, with a strong background in transplant and tracheostomy care. They will also possess excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a desire to provide high-quality care in a learning environment.
As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of medical diagnoses, including Cystic Fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant patients. You will also be certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and encouraged to pursue specialty certification in Medical-Surgical and/or Progressive Care Nursing.

Minimum Requirements:- IMC experience required
- ICU experience considered, but must be willing to work with non-ICU patients
- Transplant and trach experience required
- Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years
- Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 or Trauma center or similar size hospital
- WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state
- BLS and ACLS must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
