WI - RN - IMC Surgical Trauma Unit Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced RN to join our team in the IMC Surgical Trauma Unit at University Hospital in Madison, WI. As a member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients with complex medical and surgical conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of unit-based policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Current WI nursing license or compact license from permanent address state.
- 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years.
- IMC and recent acute medical or surgical experience required.
- Experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
- Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
- BLS & ACLS certification through American Heart Association.
- Basic Arrhythmia experience and ability to pass Telemetry test upon arrival.
Work Environment:
University Hospital in Madison is a Magnet-designated facility that's ranked Wisconsin's #1 hospital and considered one of the nation's leading hospitals, teaching institutions, and referral centers.
Shifts and Schedule:
36 hours/week, Day/Evening, 0700-1930. Every other weekend rotation or to meet unit needs, and some holidays.
