WI - RN - Heart and Vascular Progressive Care Unit Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at the University Hospital in Madison, WI. As a member of our Heart and Vascular Progressive Care Unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing, with experience in IMC/PCU/Step down and a willingness to take on a progressive patient population. You will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and participating in shared governance to drive quality improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Heart and Vascular Progressive Care Unit
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Participate in shared governance to drive quality improvement initiatives and lead practice change
- Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by promoting teamwork and communication
- Current WI nursing license or compact license from permanent address state
- 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years
- IMC/PCU/Step down experience required; ICU experience considered but must be willing to take IMC/step down and progressive patient population
- Experience in an Academic Level - Trauma center or similar size hospital
- Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks)
- BLS & ACLS certification through American Heart Association ONLY
- Basic Arrhythmia experience and ability to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to start
- Competitive hourly rate
- 36 hours/week, Night, 12 hr shifts, every other weekend rotation, holidays as operationally needed
- Permit required through UW Transportation for parking
