Job Summary:
The Laboratory Assistant will provide support to the Lab Technicians and Lab Analysts in the Textile Laboratory, ensuring high-quality results by following SGS' Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The successful candidate will work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct verifications, calibrations, and maintenance of equipment in the laundry area, and maintain accurate records.
- Manage supplies and consumables in the lab, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Dispose of samples after the retention period and decontaminate/clean laboratory equipment and glassware.
- Perform administrative tasks as needed and adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to SGS safety policies.
Requirements:
- High school diploma required.
- 1-2 years of general work experience in a laundry or dry cleaning environment preferred.
- Knowledge and experience of lab environments preferred.
Pay Range: $hour
