Medical Assistant

The Medical Assistant will provide clinical support in an outpatient setting under the supervision of a licensed nurse or physician.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care in the ambulatory setting, including vital signs, medical history, and treatment administration.
- Assist with clinical and clerical duties to ensure optimal patient experience.
- Welcomes patients, prepares them for examinations, and verifies patient information.
- Supports healthcare providers during examinations, prepares laboratory specimens, and performs basic laboratory tests.
- Counsels patients on physician orders and completes records.
- Schedules hospital procedures, surgeries, and tests, and handles phone calls and messages.
- Maintains clinical flow, supplies, and equipment, and ensures a safe and healthy work environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Certification or Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant school/program.
- OR Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or Biology with National Medical Assistant Certification.
- Two years of job experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills, effective communication, and teamwork abilities.
