About the Role

Erie Family Health Center is seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our Patient Access Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling Appointments: Schedule appointments for all Erie Medical patients, ensuring compliance with established guidelines for medical specialties.
  • Verifying Patient Information: Update patient demographic and insurance information at the time of scheduling appointments.
  • Providing Customer Service: Answer all telephone inquiries, provide general information, and route calls to other teams as necessary.
  • Managing Patient Flow: Page nurses and providers for urgent calls, and divert calls to voice mail locations as needed.
  • Ensuring Patient Satisfaction: Provide excellent customer service to all patients, assisting them at all times.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: One year of call center experience required.
  • Skills: Bilingual (English/Spanish) required, strong computer skills, and ability to type at minimum 25 words per minute.
  • Personal Qualities: Exhibits essential customer service focused commitment, reliability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
