Job Summary:

Beacon Hill Financial is seeking a highly skilled Senior GL Accountant to join their finance team in Washington D.C. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audit and revenue recognition, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records while supporting the organization's revenue processes and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of journal entries and reconciliations.
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger by ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded and reviewed.
Generate detailed financial reports and analyses to provide insights into financial performance for management and stakeholders.
Analyze and review revenue transactions to ensure compliance with ASC 606 and applicable regulations.
Collaborate with sales and operational teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting and forecasting.
Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, preparing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries.
Implement recommendations from audit findings to strengthen internal controls and financial processes.
Develop, implement, and monitor internal controls over financial reporting and revenue processes to mitigate risk.
Conduct periodic reviews of processes to identify opportunities for improvement and enhance efficiency.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of learning and professional development.
Support the team in resolving complex accounting issues and ensuring adherence to best practices.
