Job Opportunity: Senior Financial Analyst

Empirical Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our financial management team, you will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial results and reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidance, and providing critical technical guidance and advice to senior client management representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Assist in the monthly closing process, including preparing journal entries and financial reports.
  • Provide management with financial information through research and analysis.
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and ensure compliance with regulatory guidance.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related degree with a minimum of 24 credit hours in accounting.
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting, interpreting and analyzing data.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Fast learner with willingness to learn new tasks and business functions.
  • Proficient in the use of the MS Office suite; specifically, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • CPA candidate and/or CGFM preferred.
  • Ability to occasionally work extra hours to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and/or federal security clearance, which may include U.S. Citizenship requirement for some client engagements.
