Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

Job Summary:

The Washington Post is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join its finance team. As a key member of the accounting and reporting team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform account reconciliations and analyze variances to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop and implement financial reporting processes and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements:

  • CPA certification or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
