Job Description: Under the general supervision of the Fire Business Manager, the Administrative Assistant will serve as the primary staff member responsible for providing comprehensive administrative duties for the Fire Department. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing assistance to internal and external customers, including greeting visitors, answering phone calls, and responding to questions within their level of expertise.
  • Complying with procedures regarding inspections and issuing permits under the jurisdiction of the Fire Department.
  • Responding to requests for records and information regarding ambulance and medical billing, fire loss, and incident reports.

Requirements: To be successful in this role, candidates must have knowledge of office administration, computer skills, basic bookkeeping, automated office systems, and procedures. An associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Additionally, one to three years of related experience and strong communication skills are essential.
