Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Broadcast Production Specialist to join our team at InsideHigherEd. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting live academics and athletics events by serving as a production engineer, producer, and camera technician.
Key Responsibilities
- Support live events by maintaining all equipment, loading and setting up equipment, and working on productions as assigned.
- Maintain all inventory and oversee project assignments.
- Assist the director in productions, editing video and audio as assigned, and managing project assignments and coaching student workers.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field to broadcasting or media.
- Three years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced video and audio engineering skills, including photography and audio.
- Advanced level video engineering skills and understanding of troubleshooting video for live events.
- Video and editing skills with demo reflecting this ability.
- Good personal skills.
- Leadership skills and experience.
- Sports experience, including switching, setup, and streaming with an advanced understanding of backend management for sites.
- Understanding of Adobe products.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to work independently following established policies and procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure of deadlines.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technology problems.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals, documentation, and schematics.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work after normal business hours and weekends as required.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days; Monday - Friday (work outside of the normal business hours will likely be required of an employee in an exempt level position)
Pay Band: B9
Salary Minimum: $48,800 - Midpoint: $61,000
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position
Augusta University offers a variety of benefits to full-time benefits-eligible employees and some of our half-time (or more) employees.
Benefits that may be elected could include health insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, Teachers Retirement System (or Optional Retirement Plan), as well as earned vacation time, sick leave, and 13 paid holidays.
