We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Holcim. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for performing various tasks associated with the inspection, root cause failure analysis, and repairs of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform tasks associated with maintaining mechanical systems throughout the plant, including preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of plant equipment.
  • Work with contractor personnel to ensure quality control and productivity.
  • Participate in formal and on-the-job training programs to acquire and broaden technical and non-technical job skills.
  • Interact with members of Process Areas to gather or communicate information, solve problems, and provide support.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment, including services and lubrication as required.
  • Suggest programs to reduce or contain costs and increase productivity, and take independent action to resolve problems when appropriate.
  • Apply skills and perform work in other positions as assigned.
  • Work rotating shift schedules and weekends as assigned.
  • Support other plant functions as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of technical college in a related subject preferred.
  • 2-4 years of industrial experience as a millwright required, with experience in rebuilding gear boxes, shaft alignment on heavy industrial equipment, and bearing installation desired.
  • Vibration Analysis Experience required.
  • Knowledge of overall cement plant operations or comparable heavy industrial environment preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving, and adhering to health, safety, and environmental policies in all work environments and areas.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim-approved Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
