Job Summary

This role involves performing various tasks related to inspecting, determining root causes of failures, and fixing mechanical systems in an industrial setting. Responsibilities also include conducting preventive maintenance and troubleshooting equipment at the plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out maintenance tasks on mechanical systems facility-wide, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborating with contractors to ensure quality control and productivity, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Engaging in formal and hands-on training to enhance technical and non-technical skills, staying up-to-date with industry developments.
  • Interacting with Process Areas team members regularly to exchange information and solve issues, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Assisting with equipment maintenance and repairs, including lubrication as necessary, to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Proposing cost-saving and productivity-enhancing initiatives; addressing problems proactively, driving business growth.
  • Fulfilling other assigned job duties as needed, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to learn.
  • Following a rotating shift schedule and working weekends as required, ensuring 24/7 operations.
  • Supporting other plant functions as requested, contributing to a seamless and efficient operation.

Requirements

Education Requirement: High School diploma/GED, with a strong foundation in mathematics and science.

Preferred Additional Education: Completion of a two-year technical college program in a related field, such as mechanical engineering or industrial technology.

Essential Experience: 2-4 years of industrial experience as a millwright, with skills in rebuilding gearboxes, aligning shafts, and installing bearings.

Additional Experience Welcome: Proficiency in Vibration Analysis, with a strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.

More Requirements:

  • Prior knowledge of cement plant operations or similar heavy industrial environments, with a strong understanding of safety protocols.
  • Valid driver's license, with a clean driving record.
  • Dedication to following health, safety, and environmental regulations, fostering a safety-conscious culture.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols and proper use of Personal Protection Equipment.
