Kleinfelder is seeking a Construction Project Engineer / Site Engineering Manager.

We deliver Construction Management services to a diverse clientele, both local and national. We are in search of motivated individuals who are keen to join a vibrant team and advance their careers in construction management and engineering.

Ideal candidates should demonstrate strong initiative, oversee safety protocols on projects involving traffic management, and ensure compliance with construction plans and specifications.

Relevant project experience should encompass engineering or construction management with state Departments of Transportation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Possess a solid understanding of Civil Engineering principles and Construction Methods, including state DOT Standards.
  • Effectively manage and interpret state DOT contracts.
  • Analyze construction plans and specifications.
  • Lead, train, and supervise junior staff.
  • Optimize resource allocation, develop realistic budgets, and track expenditures.
  • Identify and pursue new project opportunities for existing and potential clients.
  • Adhere to all federal and state regulations, client requirements, and company policies.
  • Establish project objectives, manage timelines, and oversee multiple projects.
  • Maintain a focus on quality and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation software.
  • A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in construction inspection and management.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred, but extensive project experience may be considered.
  • Valid state Driver's License.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate challenging terrains.
