Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineering Management: Oversee project planning, scoping, man-hour estimation, and contract negotiations.

  • Identify training needs and develop programs for staff at all levels.
  • Conduct annual evaluations for direct reports.
  • Participate in the interview process for technical candidates.

Business Development:

  • Engage in RFQ reviews and Go/No-Go proposal discussions.
  • Contribute written technical insights for statements of interest.
  • Conduct outreach to industry colleagues for sales and marketing initiatives.
  • Participate in networking events with clients and industry associations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited).
  • PE License in the state of Illinois.
  • 15+ years of experience in transportation design and project management, including roadway geometrics, drainage design, and traffic studies.
  • Experience with Illinois transportation agencies.
  • Proficiency in Bentley OpenRoads software suite, including MicroStation and GeoPak.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently in a dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
