Job Summary
This role involves performing complex administrative office duties, including report generation, budgetary assistance, and special projects. As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide excellent customer service by screening and routing telephone calls, receiving and referring visitors, scheduling appointments, taking messages, maintaining appointment calendars, and making travel arrangements.

Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to assigned personnel
- Screen and route telephone calls, receive and refer visitors, schedule appointments, take messages, maintain appointment calendars, schedule and coordinate meetings, and make travel arrangements
- Organize and maintain office files and records in accordance with internal procedures to provide timely and accurate information as needed
- Identify ways to improve work processes and improve customer, internal and/or external, satisfaction
- Take notes and/or meeting minutes that are technical and/or confidential in nature. Transcribe into final form ensuring that highly accurate information is documented
- Maintain a positive working relationship with internal and external callers and coworkers to complete work efficiently

Accountabilities
- Identify ways to improve work processes and improve customer satisfaction. Make recommendations to supervisor, implement, and monitor results as appropriate in support of the overall goals of the department and Parkland
- Stay abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations, and/or maintaining certification or licensure. Integrate knowledge gained into current work practices
- Maintain knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the area. Develop effective internal controls designed to promote adherence with applicable laws, accreditation agency requirements, and federal, state, and private health plans. Seek advice and guidance as needed to ensure proper understanding
