Capital Health Registered Nurse Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Capital Health. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare services.

About the Role

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering quality care to patients through a team effort, working with others to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. You will ensure patient safety by executing appropriate policies and procedures and provide support for pain management, pharmacological, and non-pharmacological measures.

  • Assessment and Planning: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, develop individualized plans of care, and implement and evaluate treatment plans.
  • Patient Safety: Execute appropriate policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and well-being.
  • Pain Management: Provide support for pain management, including pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures, and assist patients and families in identifying individualized comfort measures.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have an Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing. Previous nursing experience is preferred, but not required. You must also possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, demonstrate high interpersonal skills, and exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Certifications such as TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale, ACLS, NRP, and PALS may be required based on the unit assignment. You will also be expected to participate in unit-based and hospital-wide committees, performance improvement activities, and Joint Commission readiness preparations.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role requires frequent physical demands, including pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, reaching, squatting, and carrying objects. Occasional demands include sitting, climbing, and lifting up to 25 pounds. Continuous demands include standing, walking, and talking. Sensory requirements include accurate vision, hearing, and color discrimination.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000-$90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
