You will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, developing personalized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver quality patient care through collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, utilizing the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
  • Maintain a safe environment by adhering to policies and procedures, ensuring patient safety and well-being at all times.
  • Provide effective pain management strategies, incorporating both pharmacological and non-pharmacological measures to enhance patient comfort and satisfaction.
  • Foster open communication with patients and families, offering emotional support and guidance to facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to identify potential age-specific healthcare needs, anticipate patient requirements, and develop proactive strategies to address them.
  • Ensure seamless handoff communication, documenting key information and sharing insights with colleagues to promote continuity of care.
  • Develop and document discharge plans, empowering patients to maintain independence and engage in meaningful life activities.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing to unit-level and hospital-wide efforts to enhance patient satisfaction and outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Previous nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory.
  • AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Registered Nurse licensure in New Jersey.
  • TNCC certification (or willingness to obtain within 1 year) and 8 hours of Trauma-related CNE contact hours if assigned to specific units.
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification (or must obtain by end of orientation) and 8 hours of Stroke-related CNE contact hours if assigned to specific units.
  • CPR Requirements: ACLS certification (or must obtain within 6 months of hire date) for certain units, NRP certification (or must obtain within 6 months of hire date) for Maternity Services, Emergency Room RMC/Deborah, and PALS certification (or must obtain within 6 months of hire date) for Emergency Rooms, Infant Follow-Up, Surgical Services (PACU & Same Day Surgery), Pediatrics/Pediatric ED.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Please note that job offers are contingent upon successful completion of our onboarding process and pre-employment physical. Capital Health requires annual flu vaccination for all employees, with exceptions for individuals with medical and religious exemptions.
