About the Role
Capital Health (US) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in delivering high-quality patient care. This dynamic role involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care, promoting patient safety and well-being.

Job Summary
As a Registered Nurse at Capital Health (US), you will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to ensure optimal outcomes. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless care, focusing on pain management, patient education, and discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' conditions, identifying potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating evidence-based practices and patient preferences.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, ensuring continuity and effectiveness.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting informed decision-making and self-advocacy.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives, contributing to quality enhancement and patient satisfaction.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and professional development, staying current with best practices and advancements in nursing.

Requirements
To excel in this role, you should possess:
  • An Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • No prior nursing experience required; previous experience is preferred.
  • AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider certification.
  • TNCC certification (or obtain within 1 year of hire) and 8 hours of Trauma-related CNE contact hours if assigned to specific units.
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification (or obtain by end of orientation) and 8 hours of Stroke-related CNE contact hours if assigned to specific units.
  • CPR Requirements: ACLS (or obtain within 6 months of hire date) if assigned to Critical Care/Intermediate/Telemetry, Emergency Rooms, Pediatrics/Pediatrics Emergency Room, Labor & Delivery, Surgical Services (not to include Perioperative), Interventional Procedures, Observation.
  • PALS (or obtain within 6 months of hire date) if assigned to Emergency Rooms, Infant Follow-Up, Surgical Services (only PACU & Same Day Surgery), Pediatrics/Pediatric ED. ENPC accepted in lieu of PALS for Adult Emergency Room.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • High interpersonal skills at an individual and team level.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adjusts quickly and reacts positively to change.
  • Considerable knowledge of principles, practices, and current trends in nursing.
  • Good work ethic.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The successful candidate will be expected to meet the physical demands of the role, which include frequent pushing/pulling, twisting, bending, reaching forward, reaching overhead, squatting/kneeling/crawling, wrist position deviation, pinching/fine motor activities, keyboard use/repetitive motion, taste or smell. Occasional sitting, climbing (e.g., stairs or ladders), lifting floor to waist 25 lbs, lifting waist level and above 25 lbs, standing, walking, carrying objects, talking or hearing are also required. Sensory requirements include very accurate 20/40 near vision, very accurate 20/40 far vision, color discrimination, accurate depth perception, and accurate hearing. Anticipated occupational exposure risks include bloodborne pathogens, chemical, airborne communicable disease, dust/particulate matter.
Offers are contingent upon successful completion of our onboarding process and pre-employment physical. Capital Health will require all applicants (including contractors, travelers, and consultants) to have an annual flu vaccine prior to start date, with the exception of individuals with medical and religious exemptions.
