Business Development Director

At Hilton Garden Inn West Little Rock, we are seeking a skilled Sales Manager to develop and foster business through proactive direct sales, marketing, and solicitation for various market segments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales and revenue growth strategies to meet or exceed budgeted RevPAR goals.
- Analyze short-term fluctuations and direct selling activities to maximize revenues and identify revenue opportunities.
- Prepare sales and marketing plans for the following year and ensure front desk agents are familiar with all sales programs and key accounts.
- Produce sales department reports in a timely manner and know which market segments produce effective business for the property and how to balance them to maximize revenues.
- Conduct site visits, coordinating with all departments for show rooms and interact with outside contacts to ensure their total satisfaction.
- Demonstrate commitment to superior guest service through personal response to guest needs and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school education/GED.
- Minimum one year sales experience in hospitality or two years of progressive experience in a hotel environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar computer application.
- Up to 50% travel requirement. Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Frequent sitting, standing, and moving about the facilities. Handling objects, products, and equipment. Using keyboards and other office computer equipment. Occasionally push, pull, and lift items weighing up to 25 pounds. Must communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must observe details at close range.
- Must speak English fluently. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Mathematical skills include basic math, budgeting, profit/loss concepts, percentages, and variances. Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational, and training abilities are often used. Ability to effectively multi-task.
