About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Lubbock Heart & Surgical Hospital. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's admitting process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Know and adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Greet patients and visitors, respond to their needs, and maintain a clean and welcoming lobby area.
  • Obtain and verify patient information, including insurance forms and identification.
  • Collect deposits and process payments for pre-operative patients.
  • Assemble patient charts and enter accurate and complete information into our computer system.
  • Coordinate the work schedule of part-time Patient Representatives and provide technical oversight of their activities.
  • Receive and direct incoming calls in a professional and timely manner.
  • Seek opportunities for professional growth and development, and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in secretarial work, admitting, or insurance.
