Job Summary
Covenant Health is seeking a skilled Patient Placement Coordinator RN to join our team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for assessing and determining the clinical placement needs of our acute care patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess the clinical status of patients and determine the type of acute care services needed to provide safe and effective care.
- Determine bed capacity and assign a bed location to meet the patient's needs.
- Implement bed control area protocol if a suitable bed is not available.
- Collaborate with nursing, medical staff, and bed control/admitting departments to coordinate patient flow and bed facilitation.
- Monitor and evaluate patient flow and placement, considering financial and regulatory issues.
Requirements
- Texas Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- Relevant progressive clinical and administrative experience.
- Cross-trained with House Supervisor.
