Job Title: Customer Service Team Lead

At Whole Foods Market, we are dedicated to providing exceptional customer experiences. As a Customer Service Team Lead, you will play a critical role in leading and executing our Customer Service & E-Commerce programs. Your primary responsibility will be to support the Team Leader in driving safety, quality, and customer satisfaction in our stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Experience: Deliver outstanding customer service and hold team members accountable for the same.
  • Task Management: Establish clear expectations for balancing in-store customer service and online order completion.
  • Monitoring and Analysis: Monitor in-store and online customer flow, assign tasks, and balance the needs of all customers.
  • Scheduling and Labor Management: Maintain in-store customer needs, online order capacity, and adhere to labor budget.
  • Competitive Knowledge: Sustain strong knowledge and awareness of relevant competitors and industry trends.
  • Customer Support: Ensure an effective and efficient response to customer questions, requests, and concerns.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster and encourage a positive environment of outstanding teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale.
  • Team Development: Develop, coach, mentor, and motivate team members to sustain a high-performing team and minimize turnover.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 18+ months retail experience, including 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: Strong task management, labor utilization, and analysis skills; excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50 lbs; standing/walking 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday.
  • Environmental Factors: Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and a wet and cold environment.
