Job Title: Construction Project Engineer

iParametrics LLC is seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Construction Department, you will play a critical role in the successful delivery of our projects.

Job Summary

The Construction Project Engineer will be responsible for coordinating and managing the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This will involve close collaboration with design professionals, clients, and subcontractors to address complex coordination issues related to high purity systems, bulk gas, and specialty chemical processes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct meetings with area managers, design team members, subcontractors, and client representatives to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Coordinate between area managers and subcontractors to resolve field coordination items and ensure that projects are progressing smoothly.
  • Interpret design and construction documents, technical manuals, and quantify materials required for construction to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate all process elements within the overall project design, focusing on high purity systems, bulk gas, and specialty chemical processes to ensure seamless integration.
  • Organize and facilitate training for client personnel in the operations and maintenance of process systems to ensure that they are equipped to manage and maintain the systems effectively.
  • Review and process submittal information, ensuring accuracy and functionality of each component to ensure that projects are completed to the required quality standards.
  • Generate, receive, and distribute requests for information (RFI) to ensure that all stakeholders are informed and up-to-date.
  • Manage change documents issued by team members to ensure that all changes are properly documented and implemented.
  • Oversee field survey layout of control lines and benchmarks to ensure that all necessary measurements are taken and recorded.
  • Serve as the technical advisor for process systems at the onsite field construction office to provide expert guidance and support.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three (3) years of industrial construction experience with high purity, bulk gas, or specialty chemical processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field.
  • Experienced in matching plans and specifications from different functional areas and disciplines.
  • Leading design reviews.
  • Processing RFIs, change orders.
  • Procurement and tracking of material orders.
  • Verification of installed equipment.
  • Strong understanding of materials and methods of construction for process systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including extended shifts, to accommodate changing construction schedules.
  • Physical capability to move around the construction site, ascend/descend ladders, and work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift and manipulate 50 pounds and work in proximity to loud equipment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience coordinating process systems with civil, architectural, structural, and MEP systems.
  • Thorough understanding of high purity, bulk gas, and specialty chemical process construction.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with various trades and craft professionals.
