Electrical Project Engineer Job Description

Hoffman Construction Company is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Project Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Construction Department, you will work closely with design professionals, clients, and subcontractors to ensure the successful completion of electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate electrical elements and systems within the overall project design
  • Interpret design, construction documents, and technical manuals
  • Run meetings with area managers, design team members, and subcontractors
  • Interface with clients and subcontractors to resolve field coordination issues
  • Organize and facilitate training for clients on electrical systems and operations
  • Review and process submittal information and coordinate between multiple submittals
  • Generate, receive, and distribute requests for information (RFI)
  • Field survey layout of control lines and benchmarks
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of commercial building experience
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent
  • Experience with project management software and design software
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt to changing construction schedules
