Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in establishing, developing, and sustaining a Department of Defense (DoD) IT Asset Management initiative.
  • At least 3 years of experience with the Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-Army).
  • Possession of a Secret Security Clearance.
  • Completion of the DoD Supply and Logistics Training course and the GCSS-Army Training and Certification System (GTRAC) course is mandatory.
  • Proficient in conducting comprehensive inventories of all IT assets utilized within the organization.
  • Ability to formulate, implement, and uphold processes to ensure accurate inventory management of all IT assets.
  • Capability to establish and enforce procedures to guarantee that all IT asset requests are managed and linked to an inventory prior to fulfillment.
  • Experience in managing the IT asset lifecycle, conducting regular asset evaluations, and leading process improvement initiatives as necessary.
  • Demonstrated ability to research industry standards and best practices to benchmark against current organizational practices for continuous improvement in IT asset management.
  • Responsible for all tasks related to the receipt of new equipment, equipment turnover for the Primary Hand Receipt Holder, sub-hand receipt management, and all associated documentation and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an online inventory of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Configuration Management (CM).
  • Ensure 100% accountability of IT property utilizing GCSS-Army for property management tracking.
  • Receive and inspect new equipment, completing necessary documentation upon receipt.
  • Act as the Property Manager for the Mission Services Division and Front Office.
  • Manage equipment issuance and returns for assigned personnel, maintaining accurate records throughout the process.
  • Conduct monthly and bi-annual inventories for the Mission Services Division and Front Office.
  • Develop and manage sub-hand receipts, process corrections, and support asset management audits as required.
  • Maintain consolidated records for all customer directorates and ensure compliance with established directives.
  • Oversee the inventory of mobile and wireless devices in accordance with approved policies.
  • Secure storage facilities and manage property relocation as necessary.
  • Respond to incidents involving alarm activations at external locations.
  • Coordinate transportation of equipment and maintain responsibility for obtaining necessary courier orders.
  • Perform administrative duties related to equipment receipt and sub-hand receipt management.
  • Utilize GCSS-Army as the primary tool for recording and tracking government property.
  • Maintain accurate property records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Verify issuance of equipment to end users using appropriate documentation.
  • Conduct regular inventories and ensure compliance with government policies for property disposal.
  • Provide monthly reports on inventory status, including Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI).
  • Utilize government-approved tracking software for property management.
  • Serve as the Property Manager for all IT, AV, VI, CCI, and installation equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Army regulations and maintain accurate property records.
  • Assume full liability for equipment in possession and ensure accountability for damages.
